I am switching to Huawei, disappointed with Samsung that made it difficult to use external SD.
Left is my Honor 8 with 64 GB internal on the right daughter's Huawei P9+ Limited. Superb dual sim phones and I can use the external SD.
I do complete video capture, editing and blogpost on the phones. All the videos are now done on the honor 8.
Using Cinema FV5 for video capture, Power Director Cyberlink for edit and Blogaway Pro for blogspot and youtube direct posting.
Now I can make more video :)
Goodbye Samsung, you are chasing loyal customer away.

Titbits 6th October 2015
What's happening to my aquaponics today.
Kailan in the #guttergrowbed getting bigger, altho they are generally thin by normal standard.
Only four pots of Kuchai in the gutter, and all are fine. Cut and gave away as usual.
Two pots of lemon grass showing good root growth.
Mint goes without saying, they had to be constantly trimmed to keep under control.
One of the rosemary cutting I planted earlier didn't survive, redo and wait.
Kailan in the CRAFTS set doing well too, there is one grasshopper feasting on it. Only one, so it's ok. Don't think this little fella will eat much after all, as long as it doesn't "call home" I'm okay with it.
Cili Bara producing chillies as they should, has to keep a close watch on fungus infection.
Making a mini #guttergrowbed set with a barrel as fish tank from surplus gutter that I have laying around.
Leeks surviving and showing root growth, will wait and see what happens.
And last but not least, I bought a flower pot stand, those waist high unit. It's for me to work on potted growbed without having to strain my back doing it at ground level.
BTW.. The haze is still bad, it starting to affect my aquaponics plants.

Titbits July 19 2015
Transferred few Lampam to the front gutter growbed, since the Pacu fish is very elusive in nature and didn't eat much.
Tomatoes grown larger and need to be supported, do simple staking and train for fan out from the growbed.

Today Titbits 12 July 2015
What's happening today on my aquaponics sets.
Gutter growbed siphon tweak completed, this is necessary due I need more water circulation, aeration and noise reduction in the system. The outlet tweak to get the most from my 15 mm StrainerBell siphon.
Both the growbed having higher inflow so the outflow has to be able to accommodate the extra water flow.
Few Pacu fish has adapted to their surroundings.
Yesterdays they were hiding at one corner of the fish tank, they are more at ease today and I can start feeding them now. These few fish are for cycling the system and I'll gradually add more fish over the next two months period.
Planted simple buffer plants from cuttings, to get the growbed going. These plants will be difficult initially since the system is still cycling. Those in the brown pots are the parent plants in the gutter for watering.
Plant few more cuttings at the back lane single barrel set, these too for the gutter sets. Some cuttings may not survive the initial planting.
Finally few cili are ready for picking
These are the cili bara variety and they are best eaten raw.
I can do with more plants, will get more seedling from the nursery end of the month.
Nothing much happening.
Cheers :)

Aquaponics - Up Close And Personal is a Hardware
A spare Microsoft Lifecam Cinema HD was laying around not use much and gathering dust. Why don't I make something useful out of it, all the PC, Tabs, Phones even the Ipad in the house has its own camera so this webcam is extremely redundant.
Simple close up video shots is what I have in mind, so decide to make a quick retrofit to the Lifecam and make it able to focus further and at the same time giving better magnification shot.
Modifying the camera with an Eye Loupe, so got myself one of those cheap Loupe (ok the box says "LOOP") to use the lens as a magnifier for my Lifecam Cinema.
Doing a quickie check whether it work.
Just a quick twist the loupe is easy enough to dismantle and all I need is this lens.
The lens is loosely placed on the camera, wish I had bought a bigger loupe so that the lens will fit snuggly, but this will do. This lens is at 5x magnification, I will try other multiplication next time.
Use a simple tar putty that they use in Car accessories shop for fixing anything that rattle, this putty is sticky and removes cleanly. Next time I use other lens this can simply be removes and replace.
The camera came with its own flexible bracket, I use a GoPro base that has tripot 1/4 inch screw thread to use with a mini tripod. Need to secure it better, this is just a trial.
Not bad for a dollar modification, the intent is that I can make a close up video using various lens magnification value and at the same time keeping the camera as a distance where I can work with the subject like this watch for instance.
Yep, it works... need to buy few more Loupe to get other magnifying factor to test. Other webcam should work, just that I have this Lifecam Cinema handy that's all.

Back lane CRAFTS set updates 11th Oct 2014
Not doing much these last few months on the back lane set, finally after festive season temporarily over I am tiding it up for more planting.
The Garlic Chives that I redo from front to make way for the Strawberry doing great and I got twelve pots in this growbed with few more in another growbed. This is more that I need, two pots is all that is required and I may reduce to only six pots for my own use.
Three Basil pots I redo into two using the slotted orchid pot, one I transfer another start new from cutting.
More Basil than I can handle, Tilapia will eat this.
Turmeric are very slow to shot, I'll change to slotted pots once they have sufficient root growth holding the LECA.
Above potted flood & drain will be redo to have more plants in it.
I must get more plants going to use up all the nitrate, tilapia are getting bigger and they produce more waste now as compare few months back.
Few seedlings growing and I must sow more, heavy rain causes damage to seedling and some seeds just don't germinate. Need to change the way I sow those seeds.
Three pots of Sambung Nyawa plants taken out from the growbed and giving it away.

Titbits- 26th September 2014
Not much happening this last few days, just tidying up and get few plants reorganized to other growbeds. Kuchai (Garlic Chives) plants has to make way for the Strawberry project experiment, and all pots has to be placed in the back part of the house.
Harvest all Kuchai and remove the pot from this growbed. Quite a lot of Kuchai and gave it away to neighbors.
The Ornamental set metal stand is ready and I am testing it out before making more to sell.
Unfortunately the pots are from different manufacturer, hence the color difference. Oh well it still function same and I'll wet run this for another couple of months then let one set as a test piece and permanently get it going to see if any problem arise after prolong usage.
The strawberry plants still producing runners, I clipped most of it to let plants grow stronger. There are still a few that I let grow into plants and use it for new growbeds. I'll replace those older plants that originally obtained from Cameron Highland.
The older Strawberry plants never stop flowering, most of it I clipped too. Only one or two were left to develop into berry.
This one fruit that I let grow, okay it's not as big but at least it a good sign that we can have strawberry in the Equatorial lowland.
That's about it today, still a lot more to do getting the setup organized and tidy.
